Hear the incredible Nightingale story in her own word and in her museum.
In honour of International Nurses Day and Florence Nightingale’s 205th Birthday our museum is hosting a full day of Meet Miss Nightingale Performances!
Find out how Miss Nightingale became known as the “Lady with the Lamp”, how she became a nurse, why she went to the Crimea and how she improved the conditions for the soldiers and nurses. Hear her story in her own words and you can even sing her ‘Happy Birthday’!
Discover the remarkable story of this historical icon and then explore the museum itself, which houses many of her actual historical artifacts!
Performances are free with admission and last approximately 30 minutes.
Performances are at 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm.
