Screen Printing Workshop with The Private Press studio

24 May 2025
10.30am - 12pm or 1pm - 2.30pm
£40

Explore the art of screen printing with Brighton-based screen printing studio The Private Press.

In this informal and fun screen printing workshop we will be playing with composition and the layering of graphic images. No screen printing experience is required but it would also suit those with some knowledge of the process. We will screen print a variety of graphic images, across 3 pre-exposed screens, screen printing with various ink colours. We’ll print the images on to the paper in different positions, playing with overlaying shapes and colours to build up an A4 print to take away. Every print made will be unique to you! All materials will be provided on the day, just come with an open mind, ready to experiment and print!

The Private Press is a Brighton-based screen printing studio, with a contemporary, collaborative approach, specialising in printing fine art editions for artists, designers and illustrators. They have printed work for high profile artists such as Yoko Ono, David Shrigley, Anthony Burrill and Jeremy Deller. Prints produced at their studio have been exhibited at the Design Museum, the Royal Academy, the Saatchi Gallery and in galleries around the world.
