Join Jane Austen’s family and special guests for a special celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday at Chawton House.
With over a dozen Austen descendants, including your host Caroline Jane Knight, the last of Jane’s nieces to grow up at Chawton House, join this historic occasion. Distinguished speakers, witty performers, and special guests will honour Jane’s extraordinary legacy and her continuing influence on literature and culture worldwide.
Enjoy birthday cake and homemade lemonade in Dyers Barn as you mingle with Jane’s family and fellow Austen lovers. Proceeds to the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation and Chawton House.
Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate Jane Austen’s enduring legacy in the company of her descendants at her beloved Chawton. Meet at 1.30pm at Jane’s statue in Chawton churchyard. Regency costume encouraged but not essential and we suggest you bring a picnic blanket.

National Art Pass members are welcome to visit for half price as part of their membership. Book online in advance and select ‘Art Fund’ as your ticket-type. You will need to show your membership card to gain admission.
