With your knowledgeable guide, discover the history of the Gardens and how changing fashions and tastes developed from a formal layout to the English Landscape style. Learn more about the Austen and Knight family, and their role in the garden changes. See how the garden references in Jane Austen’s novel are reflected in the horticultural setting, which she knew and loved so well. On this guided walk, you will stop off at points along our Jane Austen trail to admire the Wilderness, take in the fragrant rose garden, or look out across the Parkland.
