Whether you're a beginner or a craft enthusiast, this session will guide you in creating a unique, theme-led textile artwork.

Your finished piece can be framed, transformed into a cushion, or even made into a stylish tote bag. Bring your artistic vision to life on fabric!

This session includes a short break. All materials provided; just bring your creativity.

About the tutor: Ekaette Archibong (Ekky) is an artist, facilitator, and crafter with a passion for expressive creativity, cultural heritage, and functional craft. Her workshops focus on crafting with purpose, blending traditional techniques with upcycling and sustainable practices to create meaningful, functional pieces.

"As a British-Nigerian creative, I bring a multicultural perspective to my sessions, drawing inspiration from diverse cultural traditions. I love to teach and create inclusive learning experiences that celebrate heritage, storytelling, and hands-on skill development.

Through my work as the Founder and Creative Director of Neomari Creative Sector Services, I am committed to fostering creativity, sustainability, and cross-cultural exchange, helping participants explore new skills while embracing the richness of their own and others' cultural backgrounds".

Come to see the newly opened North Hertfordshire Museum. We have four galleries for you to visit: explore the Discovering North Hertfordshire Gallery, which deals with the history of the district from geological times to the present day; our Exhibition Gallery has regularly changing exhibits; discover how people’s lives have changed over thousands of years in the Living in North Hertfordshire Gallery; see the football collection, objects from all around the world, items from our art collections and animations of local folklore tales in the Terrace Gallery; view artworks in the Arches Gallery, part of the Terrace Gallery. We have a shop where you can buy gifts and local souvenirs, and a cafe serving a variety of food, and hot and cold drinks. Admission is free.
