A celebration of work by Black British women and non-binary artists.
This ambitious exhibition showcases work by nearly 50 leading Black women and non-binary artists shaping contemporary British art. Featuring paintings, sculpture and video from the past decade, it asks pressing questions about the present while celebrating UK-based artists. Many pieces are chosen by the artists themselves.
Featured artists include Alberta Whittle, Amber Akaunu & Elliss Eyo-Thompson, Anthea Hamilton and Joy Labinjo, among others. The exhibition, supported by Art Fund and the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, aims to highlight transformative contributions to the art world and foster dialogue and joy.
