A centenary celebration of the internationally renowned poet, sculptor, and creator of Little Sparta.l
Marking 100 years since the birth of Ian Hamilton Finlay, National Galleries Scotland bring together key works from his prolific career. A poet, printmaker, and sculptor, Finlay is best known for Little Sparta, the garden he transformed into an artistic manifesto.
This exhibition at Modern Two presents sculptures, prints, and a room-sized installation, alongside archival materials revealing his thought-provoking explorations of language, nature, and philosophy. Despite rarely leaving his home in the Pentland Hills, Finlay’s influence stretched worldwide, cementing his legacy as one of Scotland’s most distinctive artists.
