Delving into the mysteries, myths and marine life that lurk under the waves.
Ranging from artists’ study of the marine environment, the creatures that inhabit it and myths about mermaids, Undersea gathers paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture from across different cultures and artistic movements for an inspiring take on water.
Visitors will experience a wide range of historical works of art alongside contemporary pieces, with powerful views of the sea as the gallery is situated on the dramatic seafront in Hastings Old Town. A full programme of talks and events will explore the fishing heritage of the town.
