Set in a nine-storey former warehouse, City Art Centre is the permanent home to Edinburgh's outstanding collection of Scottish art.

The collection traces the development of Scottish art from the 17th century to the present day. It includes paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, textiles and sculpture, representing many of the country's most distinguished artists.

In addition to the permanent collection, there is a wide-ranging temporary exhibitions and events programme showcasing historic and contemporary Scottish artists and makers.
