The Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum at the Royal Pump Rooms has a collection of over 11,000 objects in the fields of art, crafts, sculpture, local and social history, archaeology and ethnography.

Built in the early 19th century, the Pump Rooms were a popular destination for Victorian health seekers. Today, the beautifully preserved building provides a grand setting to explore the cultural riches of Leamington Spa.

Artworks

The Art Gallery, housed in the hall of the former hydrotherapy pool, displays fine and decorative art works. These are selected from the paintings, ceramics, sculpture and glass Collections, with the entire exhibition changing every two years. The Temporary Exhibitions Gallery hosts a wide variety of exhibitions exploring the contemporary and historic visual arts.

Leamington’s story

The Local History Gallery boasts a collection that reflects the town's rich heritage. Discover the story of Leamington's development from a rural village into an elegant spa resort, and then into the thriving town we know today. You can also see the Hammam (cooling room) preserved from the original Turkish Bath where the gallery now sits.

Activities and events

Families can enjoy interactive displays, trails and special events designed to spark children's curiosity. There are also talks and workshops throughout the year, offering opportunities to learn new skills and delve deeper into the museum's collections. Additionally, an audio guide is available to enhance your self-guided tour.
