Market Hall Museum
Market Hall Museum contains galleries devoted to Warwickshire geology, archaeology and natural history.
Housed within a magnificent 17th-century building, the museum offers a captivating glimpse into the rich history and heritage of Warwickshire. With interactive exhibits, engaging tours, and a social media savvy Irish deer skeleton called Oisin, the Market Hall Museum provides a memorable and enriching experience for visitors of all ages.
Popular exhibits
There are a range of things to see at the museum, from Roman hoards unearthed across the county, to the Museum Bear, a Warwickshire dinosaur from Cross Hands Quarry, to historic costume. A highlight for many is the captivating observation beehive, where you can witness the wonders of beekeeping firsthand (though be aware, the hive is occasionally removed for bee care).
The Sheldon Tapestry Map
Another highlight of the museum is the Sheldon Tapestry Map. This remarkable piece, meticulously crafted in the 16th century, depicts Warwickshire in stunning detail, offering a unique perspective on the county's landscape and settlements during the Elizabethan era.

The museum offers a variety of engaging activities including free highlight tours led by knowledgeable volunteers. No need to book, but call the Museum after 10am on the morning you wish to visit, to confirm that a tour will be available on that day.
