Housed in a fine Grade I listed Georgian town house, the award-winning Museum of Farnham focuses on local history.
Established in 1961, the museum’s collection offers a captivating glimpse into the rich history of the Surrey town, starting from Farnham’s prehistoric roots and continuing all the way to the 20th century.
Diverse collection
The museum holds a collection of around 20,000 objects relating to Farnham and its surrounding area. These are divided into the areas of archaeology, archives, fine art, textiles and social history.
Temporary exhibitions
Alongside the permanent displays, the museum curates three major exhibitions a year, featuring everything from artistic collaborations to engaging experiences designed for families.
Farnham’s creative hub
The Museum of Farnham is part of the Farnham Maltings Association, championing art and creativity within the community. The museum actively collaborates with the Maltings to fulfil their shared mission of making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
