Jorge Luis Macchi, 2012

© Courtesy of the artist and Galerie Peter Kilchmann, Zurich

Argentinian artist Jorge Luis Macchi’s work explores absence, which he feels is ‘more present than the presence itself’. In these works acquired by mima, Macchi's vision of absence is represented by stopped clock of video installation XYZ and the empty bottles of his watercolour diptych.
