A Derby Bough Pot

A porcelain pot of bombe form with cover and shaped stand, the ground salmon with gilt stars and seed pearls. Called a bough pot because it is designed to hold boughs or flowers. The panels including the scene 'Cupid disarmed by Euphrosyne' painted by James Banford, William Billingsley and, probably, Zachariah Boreman.
