Together with The Art Business Conference, Art Fund is delighted to offer 10 travel bursaries for UK curators to attend the annual one-day conference exploring some of the key topics across the global art world today.
If you are involved in buying, selling, or caring for art – whether as a museum professional, curator, collection manager, gallerist, art advisor, studio manager, private collector or auctioneer – this conference covers the key aspects of running an art organisation or collection. The topics that will be explored at the conference include:
Standards and due diligence in the art market: art provenance, technical art history and condition reporting are all vital data sets for the art world, but why is there no universal standard?
AI – the opportunities and challenges for art organisations
Staying ahead – opportunities for the UK art market to remain a global hub: the focus on this conversation will be on how the UK can retain its important trading position in the global art world / its unique position in the import/export of art
Sustainability focus: sea freight and climate control
Web3 infrastructure – the latest updates in legal infrastructure
Afternoon breakout focuses will include regional focuses (TBC)
The Art Business Conference are providing tickets for 10 UK curators, which have been kindly subsidised by The Art Business Conference and several attending galleries and art organisations. Art Fund are providing travel bursaries for these curators who can apply for up to £250 towards their travel and accommodation costs to attend the conference.
