A personal illustrated excursion into Lincolnshire Lore, song and dance - after half a century of interest by Doc Rowe.
Since the sixties Doc Rowe has been recording and filming cultural tradition and vernacular arts, folklore, song and dance of Britain and Ireland. His collection currently represents the most extensive collection of audio and video material to celebrate the variety and richness of traditional folk culture of these islands.
Doc Rowe was awarded an honorary doctorate in music from University of Sheffield in 2002 for his research work into vernacular culture and traditional music, and in 2005 was awarded the English Folk Dance and Song Society's Gold Badge for his documentation of traditional Song and Dance.
