An afternoon of acoustic instrumental music from Scotland to the Balkans and beyond.
Mesmerising arrangements of traditional music from Scotland to the Balkans and beyond, alongside compositions, sparkling improvisations, musical intuition, audience connection and a joyful spontaneity that digs deeper into the music at every performance.
Lewis performs with accordion, cittern and guitar, and Morag plays fiddle and five-string fiddle. This concert is of special significance to Lewis as his grandfather, Ted Powell, was Keeper of Books at Innerpeffray from 1988 to the mid 2000s, and helped to found the Friends of Innerpeffray Library. Innerpeffray was the central meeting point for Lewis’s family through his childhood years, where family get-togethers would take place and is the backdrop to many a family photo.
