A day with Rag Rug expert Jenni Stuart-Anderson learning the traditional techniques of rag rug making.
Rag Rug Workshop with Jenni Stuart-Anderson.
Saturday May 24th, 10am - 4pm
During the workshop Jenni will demonstrate the traditional techniques of hooking and progging strips of fabric through a hessian backing to make rugs, wall hangings or seat mats.
Please bring some rags which you would like to use and any pictures that inspire you. If you have a small frame (tapestry, embroidery etc.) and would like to learn try hooking on it you can bring it along or have a go on Jenni's.
Refreshments are included but bring some lunch (the Morrisons cafe is next door to the museum)
