Emerging after the Second World War alongside the modernist movement in Europe and America, Scandinavian modern style introduced democratic, affordable, and sleek furnishings and interiors.
Ken Stralding made extensive business contacts with Scandinavian furniture, glass and ceramics manufacturers in his early years in the Bristol Guild. This exhibition hosts our permanent collection and illustrates Ken’s passion for Scandinavian design and his desire to share this passion with us.
