Bodmin Keep has stood tall in the town of Bodmin for more than 160 years. Located on the site of the former Victoria Barracks, the Keep is the historic home of the army in Cornwall and the former headquarters of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry (DCLI).
The museum housed within the Keep is home to a collection of 12,000 artefacts covering more than 300 years of military history, from regimental colours, badges and uniforms to weapons, instruments, and medals.

Opening times
At 165 years old, Bodmin Keep needs urgent preservation work which means that the museum is temporarily closed. Please bear with us while urgent repairs are carried out to this historic Cornish building.
