Board the last surviving WWII convoy escort ship, HQS Wellington, now moored on the River Thames at Victoria Embankment, and discover more about Britain’s maritime history.

This majestic ship has a rich history, particularly as an integral part of the Second World War and notably as a convoy escort ship in the Battle of the Atlantic. As the last remaining Grimsby Sloop, HQS Wellington has huge historical significance.

There is now an extensive collection to peruse onboard including artefacts, ship models and even a selection of maritime instruments. You can explore all the ship?s unique areas including the Model Room, the Wheelhouse and the Forecastle, plus from 2022 you can enjoy an augumented reality experience in both the Wheelhouse and Engine Room.
