Designer, painter and illustrator Janine Burrows applies her background in surface pattern and printed textiles to create expressive, textural depictions of British countryside and coast, using subtle colour and delicate detailing.

The exhibition is a celebration of the vibrant county, Yorkshire, including works across different forms of media and a new limited edition screen print. With this new body of work Burrows explores many endearing and captivating places found in Yorkshire, including some exclusive site-specific pieces created especially for Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

This is Burrows returning to her roots – from her own back garden, the North Yorkshire coast and her neighbourhood allotments, to Yorkshire Sculpture Park, these small havens and striking locations celebrate her birthplace and homeland.
