Suitable for beginners. Please bring sharp secateurs and an awl (or small screwdriver) to the session.
About the Tutor: Hazel is a contemporary basket-maker and willow artist; her inspiration comes from nature and the human condition. Graduating in 2004 with a degree in Applied Arts 3D Media she began working professionally in 2008. Hazel works with willow and various other natural materials.
She has made commissioned works for a variety of settings, including community outdoor spaces, public buildings, TV, and private clients. She has also exhibited work on a Gold Award-winning stand at Chelsea Flower Show. For over 16 years, Hazel has taught in Herts and Bucks, as well as from her studio near Hitchin.

We have four galleries for you to visit: explore the Discovering North Hertfordshire Gallery, which deals with the history of the district from geological times to the present day; our Exhibition Gallery has regularly changing exhibits; discover how people’s lives have changed over thousands of years in the Living in North Hertfordshire Gallery; see the football collection, objects from all around the world, items from our art collections and animations of local folklore tales in the Terrace Gallery; view artworks in the Arches Gallery, part of the Terrace Gallery.
