Experience the beauty of nature reimagined by artists and landscape designers throughout history.
Artists, designers and architects have long reimagined the natural landscape in dramatic ways. And today, contemporary concerns around the fragility of the environment and the need to protect the earth’s resources are at the forefront like never before.
Charting the evolution of art and landscape, from the formal gardens of the 17th century to the heyday of the Land Art movement, the exhibition focuses on artists’ gardens and artists working with landscape, including works of art by JMW Turner, Nicolas Poussin, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Charles Jencks, Anya Gallaccio, and David Nash.
