Immerse yourself in a vivid installation inspired by multicultural Britain.
Neon Dreams at The Holburne Museum presents a new display by Chila Kumari Singh Burman, an artist known for vivid neon works of art that take inspiration from popular media, history, Hindu-Punjabi festival culture and mythology.
Working across printmaking, drawing, painting, installation and film, Burman will illuminate the neo-classical spaces of the building’s façade and Ballroom Gallery. The exhibition is rooted in her own cultural heritage and experiences growing up in a Punjabi Hindu family in Merseyside, and aims to challenge stereotypes by placing alternative perspectives of Britishness at the forefront of art history.
