On the site of the world's first purpose-built motor-racing circuit, Brooklands Museum, celebrates many engineering and technological achievements, including Concorde.
Explore the history of UK motor sports, aviation and even London buses. From Norton motorcycles to McLaren prototypes, there is plenty to see and do at this huge museum dedicated to the pioneers of British engineering in the 20th century.
Expansive collection
The 32 acre site incorporates outdoor aviation experiences and indoor exhibits, such as the record-breaking Napier-Railton motor cars and the latest additions from the Mercedes-Benz racing team, housed in the original motor sheds.
Aircraft Factory
Get immersed in the factory atmosphere of the Bellman Hangar, with lots of hands on activities to illustrate the history of aviation, aptly situated in the former manufacturing building. Alternatively you could visit the vintage warplanes in The Flight Shed and learn about the pilots and navigators who flew them.
Concorde experience
Fasten your seat belts for a virtual Concorde flight whilst you learn about the innovation and design of the iconic supersonic airliner. Additional ticket required, pre-booking is recommended.
London Bus Museum
Never mind three coming at once, try 35 buses all under one roof! From the early horse bus to more recognisable modern buses, the vehicles are arranged in a timeline from around 1875 to 1979. Also on display are artefacts and memorabilia relating to London Transport including uniforms, ticket machines, artwork and signs.
With immersive exhibitions, tours and simulators, plus open days, and regular events all year round, there are lots of thrills for all the family at Brooklands Museum.
