Anssi Kasitonni’s sculptures and videos are complex, hand-made productions that reference popular culture and are filled with humour. During his Beaconsfield residency, Kasitonni is researching the locale and delving into the psyche of South London to inspire the new work.
A new sculpture on an architectural scale explores the story of the 19th century philanthropist Henry Beaufoy, his wife Eliza and the building of the Lambeth Ragged School.
Workshop for Enthusiasts Wednesday 26 February 2-5pm. Learn from Annsi Kasitonni’s fast-sculpture techniques. Sculpt an object of your own desire from cardboard, plaster and expandable foam.
